Thanks for sorting out getting the gathering info up. Just wanted to
respond on a couple of points:<br>

1) Generic accounts: I take Jon's point about the advantages of
individual user accounts and I think from experience it isn't that much
easier having a generic account as you still have to pass on the
password to anyone new and show/tell them how to log in to the site.<br>
<br>
2) Urgency/Process: in this case the urgency from my perspective as
Process group was that the gathering page only said 'details will
appear here', without venue or timings information, despite being
linked through to from the front page of the site. I hope it didn't
seem like I was saying the other two requests (adding a generic London
user and making me an editor of that page) were just as urgent. But
also, I'm already a user to edit the London page, and I've been making
sure the Gathering page is up to date on the old site for the last
several months, so hopefully I'm not a 'new user' in that sense.
Finally, though, can I clarify what people feel needs to go to the list
for consensus and what doesn't? From my perspective content changes to
individual pages that are managed by a particular working group
shouldn't need to go via this list for consensus? Admin rights is
different - but I may have misunderstood jimdog's email.<br>

3) Agenda for the gathering: does someone want to put together a list
of the key decisions we've got to make? Then those of us who might not
be there or might be in a parallel meeting can feed in in advance.<br>

worth.
Firstly the urgent bit of the request has been done, though with the
gathering over a week away i can't imagine how it was so urgent that it
couldn't be proposed for consensus first, particularly with questions
already hanging over adherence to the agreed process.
Adding new users doesn't seem as urgent that it should predispose a new
admin account being set up in this way. From a security and
decentralisation point of view, this should be agreed as necessary by the
whole group, and carry with it to anyone who has such privileges a
guarantee that the person will adhere strictly to a consensually agreed
process, with a clear sanction of removal of these if it is not done.
There are already some security concerns i am addressing with the site at
the moment so i propose that until this is done, and a process for
deciding who should have admin rights and how is decided at the next
national gathering, that things stay as they are for now.

TIMINGS
The gathering is taking place on 3-4 October 2009 in Leeds. It runs from
10-6 on Saturday and 10-5 on Sunday.
VENUE
The venue is The Common Place - Leeds' autonomous, radical social centre -
23-25 Wharf Street, Leeds, LS2 7EQ. <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://www.thecommonplace.org.uk">http://www.thecommonplace.org.uk</a>. It's
wheelchair accessible.
ACCOMMODATION
There is crashpad accommodation available on Friday and Saturday nights.
This means floorspace - you'll need to bring a sleeping bag and rollmat.

FOOD
Yumminess of the vegan variety will be provided by the Leeds Café
Collective.
SOCIAL
There'll be a social on Saturday night at the Common Place. For licensing
reasons you either need to be a member or a guest to attend. Members need
to sign up at least 2 days in advance, and not everyone will be able to be
a guest. So we're encouraging everyone to become a member now - it only
costs &pound;2, and it's worth doing even if you're not sure you're coming
as the Common Place is great! To join, it's best to do it via Paypal, or
you can send a cheque. See

DONATIONS
The suggested donation is &pound;15 to cover the costs of the weekend,
including food. You can put in more or less, depending on what you can

TRAVEL POOL
A travel pool will operate as usual. The travel pool is a way for those
who've come to the gathering from nearby to contribute to the travel costs
of those who've travelled further. Those who wish to make a claim write
down how much they've spent at the welcome desk and at the end of the
weekend the money in the travel pool is split proportionally among those
who've claimed.
KIDS SPACE
At the moment we're not able to offer a kids space but if we get
volunteers in the next week this might change. If you can help please get
