I think this is a great proposal - and also one of those which shows
why dividing our comms work into four separate groups means we lose
some overview and interaction!

I'm not sure which list it makes sense to take it forward on - I guess
social media, but perhaps people from all these lists should get in
touch with Simon if they're interested in being involved? Also are you
talking about a Media Team Google Doc? Or actually I guess one you
haven't set up yet.

The main question for me about the blog functionality on our site is
whether it's really identifiable as a blog? It doesn't have comments, I
don't know if it has trackback (whatever that is), it doesn't have
easysharing via social media etc. The first step is definitely to set
ourselves up so we can be regularly putting out content, but we need to
work out how to get this stuff to be part of it as well. Also, it's
kind of buried in the bottom corner of the site. I think this makes
sense to some extent as our website is mainly a billboard to get people
to come to our events (as opposed to eg. the Plane Stupid website which
is essentially a blog) but I wonder if we should have a semi-separate
site for the blog, which has its own identity and homepage?

Anyway, sorry to break the cardinal rule of changing the subject line
of the thread.
Belated apologies for not making the call.
I was going to circulate the following proposal anyway but I think it
ties nicely to the outcome around a rota system for the website.

One thing that wasn't discussed but which I think is a vital tool for
outreach, media and online visibility in general is the CfCA blog.
Below is a pasted version of the email I was planning on sending ahead
of the call but failed to.
