[Cja] 'thematic groups'

hey friends,
a quick question (with a long-ish preamble): at the meeting in bonn, we decided that we would set up what we called 'thematic groups', where we'd try to work out what strategic approaches we as CJA as well as as folks involved in broader climate justice movement contexts might bring to a number of areas, ranging from transport to militarism&borders. in each case, at least one person took the responsibility of getting these groups going.
the question: has anyone done this so far? if so, could you let the rest of us know how you did it? ;-) reason i'm asking is that i'm supposed to do that for 'transport', but am actually wondering what exactly setting up such a group might entail (nb: this is NOT a technical question regarding crabgrass, but a more general one - how do we start these discussions?).
