Hi MH

I think that would be a good idea to meet up re the info group.
I can make 6 pm on Monday either "Here" which is dead close to where
I work or Kebele - dead close to where I live: so either is fine.
Can I ask that the meeting is 1.5 hours - til 7.30 to keep it tight.
I cant do tuesday 16th I already have work followed by evening meetings.

On another topic:Im sorry I missed the "aims of the group" meeting tho'
I had provided info for that. Too late now I guess and as I didn't attend I guess that
I havent got great grounds to input further. I agree with what the group has come up
but feel the weight is heavily towards "Deconstructing" Capitalism ie forms of Direct Action:
which is all good. However Constructing the alternative: along with the construction of autonomous cultural spaces such as Kebele ect is the development the autonomous work, housing and food, on the principles
of non hierarchy, autonomy, solidarity: through radical co-operatives: Workers' co-ops, housing co-ops and
food co-ops is the creation of the alternative to Capitalism and there is a local, national and international
movement. This could be spelled out more clearly and I intend to in the film.

Anyhow - I hope that you can make 15th at 6 and that is OK for the rest of the
info group

John

group needed?

Hi, I was speaking to 1 other person on this list and
we felt it would be a good idea to have a
co-ordinating meeting of the info group, maybe in
mid-November (before next full Dissent group meeting
on 30th). The aim of this would be to:
1. Clarify what each person is doing & how they are
getting on.
2. Identify what else needs doing & do we need to ask
others for help/skills.
3. Identify, discuss & resolve any issues regarding
what we are working on. I am thinking here of our
political position on G8 related issues - not so much
the fairly straightforwards fact sheets, but more the
propaganda we need to produce (flyers, posters etc),
and also the contact etc of the film - bearing in mind
the aims of the Dissent group & the PGA hallmarks.

What do you think? What about a date - always tricky
to find a date/time that suits all, so how about Mon
15th or Tues 16th November, at 6pm, at either Kebele,
or the more central 'Here' shop on Stokes Croft (where
Sofia is involved), for a mx of 2 hours. Let's use the
list to agree, but note Sofia is away til maybe 9 or
10 Nov.

Just to clarify who is on the list & who's doing what:
1. Autonomous (on list) - fact sheet on climate
change; plus investigating local business with clear
links to G8/major corporations.
2. Jim (not on list) - as above with autonomous.
3. Myself (on list) - G8 intro factsheet done (maybe
needs tidying up?); working on G8 & Africa/debt fact
sheet.
4. Sofia (on list) - fact sheet on WB/IMF & WTO.
5. Anarchist606 (not on list) - fact sheet on
sustainability.
6. John (on list) - working on a film.
7. TallP (on list) - set up the list, not sure if
working on anything specific?
Anyone else?

cheers.....mh
