[Dissent-bristol-info] April 9 - updates

Just so people know...

1. Vanessa has offered to speak in the opening session, on Bristol
Dissent/outline of day. She's nervous and relatvely new to stuff, but has
got stuck into the campaign. Have asked her to come to a sub-group meet on
5 April, 6pm, at Kebele, to talk it thru (she is away til 4 April).

2. Venue - 606 has managed a partial discount & we're waiting for the
final amount before paying next week.

3. PA for speakers - Nathan has offered one for free and can sort mics I
think, which is cool. John were you bring decks? Can you speak to Nathan?
That means that effectively everyone is giving their
services/time/equipement for free - which ispretty ace I reckon.

4. Kids-space - visit by vols didn't happen last week. Think Ollie is
chasing it.

5. Vols generally - the poor turnout last Tuesday meant we were unable to
build any lists/rotas for kids-space, entrance stall etc. I'm sure it'll
be ok on the day as people will muck in. I get the feeling tho that some
of us ain't gonna be going to any workshops!

6. Programme of workshops - all workshops have confirmed, but am still
awaiting final details/descriptions for 2 of em (Kiptik & No borders ones)
before I can produce a programme for the day. If poss I'll have a draft if
we meet on 29th?

7. Publicity/stalls - very patchy. Seems to be just the same, very few
people up for postering. No vols to do streetstall this Sat except, er, me
so far. Have no idea if people are indepemdemtly forwarding on email promo
or indeed printing up posters & putting up in shops etc, but sadly I
suspect not.

8. Briefing sheets - Paul any updates? Think you have the text for at
least 5 now.
