**Informations sur le lieu**

La Coordination des Intermittents et Précaires d’Ile-de-France veut bien
nous accueillir gracieusement dans leurs locaux, situés au 14-16, quai de
la Charente à Paris.
Il y a beaucoup de place, plusieurs étages d’une centaine de mètres
carrés, une cuisine. Un vrai palace. Le seul hic c’est qu’ils ne sont pas
absolument certains de pouvoir conserver le local, la mairie de Paris
semble décidée à les expulser prochainement. Rien n’est joué pour autant.
Une salle est réservée à Montreuil si besoin de plan B en dernière minute.

Train avec les Amis de la Terre pour participer à la grande marche
organisée à Copenhague le 12 décembre, de 10h à 13h.
Départ vendredi 11 décembre de Paris vers 09h du matin, changement à
Bruxelles, retour lundi 14 décembre à 08h du matin.
Renseignements supplémentaires connus : 150 euros le trajet complet, ce
serait un train de 200 places. Un hébergement sommaire est compris dans le
tarif.

Zero Carbon Caravan 14th August The caravan will start from Climate Camp
Cymru, protesting against the Ffos y Fran Open Cast Coal Mine, and also
demonstrating sustainable solutions, with workshops on sustainable living,
all organised according to consensus based decision making. It will

possible to have a zero carbon lifestyle, and that it’s fun, by getting to

Accommodation tends to be pretty scarce in Copenhagen – forget about

A guide in how to rent a flat in Copenhagen

Some people have asked us if we can sort out something with a flat, a
house or some sort of accommodation for activists coming to Copenhagen
before December, to live.

At a meeting the Climate Collective decided that we do not have the
resources, neither financial, nor activist-hands, to offer anyone to find
or rent a place, but we wanted to make it easier for those of you who want
to come to Copenhagen before December or want to stay after.
This I not a guide of where you can squat or which , collective or social
center can house you, but it’s a guide for those of you who want to have a
private, rented place to live.

Keep in mind that it is probably not worthwhile looking for a place to
rent if you’re planning on only staying here for a couple of weeks more
(if so, please go to the button of the text and it’ll be explained what
you can do then), but if you’re actually planning on living here for some
time.

One way to find a flat in Copenhagen is to check out the various websites
offering flats and houses. Most of them are in Danish, but google
translate could help you out, if you don’t understand Danish.

here’s a small phrase book on some keys words when looking for a place to
live:

leje = rent (not the rent you pay, but that it is for rent)
husleje = the rent you pay
bolig = a way of saying a place to live. A bit like home.
Lejlighed = a flat
Hus = house
Værelse/værelser = room/rooms
Kvadratmeter or kvm =square meters
Udlejning = rental
Udlejningsform = way of renting

Another way to find a place to live in Copenhagen, that many students
coming from abroad to study in Copenhagen, is to ask out for a lace to
crash for about a week, get here and have someone living in Copenhagen
help you finding a place. When we discussed it at a meeting, a person who
have moved to Copenhagen from south of Europe to study said that this way
have turned out to work very well for him and his fellow students.

if you’re staying here for just a couple of weeks more, than the actual
summit and you want to stay with local Danish activists and not to go
through the general public sign-up, New Life CPH (NLC is a group of
artists with a goal of hosting at least 5000 activists, coming for COP15,
through average Danish familiesconcerned about the climate), you are asked
to use the following email-address.

Please send us an e-mail, containing name, how many you would like to stay
together (if you don’t mind staying individually, please send us
individual mails), how long you think you want to stay, the duration of
your stay and contact information. You will then receive a mail with
contact info of your host a few weeks before the COP15, so you can do the
actual arranging yourself.

Please note, that the Danish activists can provide sleeping opportunity
for only a limited number of guests. Obviously we cannot ourselves host
all of you. So if you don’t mind sleeping at one of the Danish families
that New Life Copenhagen have found, we kindly ask you to go for this
option.

Si vous venez en bus Eurolines depuis/vers Paris, vous serez certainement
contrôlés par la police ou les douanes (histoire vécu…).

EHIC card (European Health Insurance Card)

Photocopy of passport (most European countries insist on you carrying
around ID with you at all times, although this is rarely enforced, but
useful all the same in case you lose your passport or if it is stolen)
Adaptor plug (2 round pins NOT 2 straight pins)
Danish Krone (approx. 8.4 Krone to the pound)
Euros (in case you want to buy and food/drink en route through
France/Germany)
Mobile phone with plenty of credit (+45 for Danish numbers)
Torch (with spare batteries)
1st aid kit + painkillers if necessary (in some European countries it is
hard to get Paracetamol/Ibuprofen anywhere other than pharmacies
Any medication you need (it can often be difficult to get medication abroad)
Waterproofs clothe / jacket
Plenty of warm clothes (pensez aux gants, bonnets, écharpes, chaussettes),
la température sera autour de 0°C, il fera jour de 9h à 16h environ
Flask
Loo roll for the coaches (you’ll know why if you have any experience of
coach toilets!)
Plenty of enthusiasm

DON’T bring:
Conspicuous equipment for direct action (border searches on coaches are
usually fairly thorough and you don’t want to jeopardise your chances of
getting into the country. On trains this is less of an issue as luggage
checks are restricted to the Eurostar)
Knives or bladed objects other than razors (again you don’t want to give
the Danish authorities any reason to not let you in!)
Drugs (it may seem obvious, but its really not worth it)
