Hello everyone

Some bad fossil fuel news - Huge deposit of untapped oil could be
largest ever discovered in US

https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2016/nov/17/untapped-oil-texas-permian-basin-900-billion

This is why we desperately need to get the university to divest from
fossil fuels companies.

If you haven't submitted your answers concerning the “Consultation on
the divestment of Fossil Fuels” use this link -
https://www.dur.ac.uk/divestment/

The question are:

Q1. Do you believe that Durham University should divest from companies
involved in fossil fuel extraction? Please provide reasons for your
response.

Q2. Do you believe Durham University should invest in companies involved
in fossil fuel extraction if they are also involved in renewable and
green technologies? Please provide reasons for your response.

I submitted mine a few days ago. The deadline for submissions is 31
December 2016.

If you live in and around Durham I don't see why you cannot take part in
this consultation, you are as much apart of the university as anyone.
You have nothing to lose so submit your views!

Best wishes

Susan
