[Edinburgh-carecampaign] Next Meeting

Hello   Happy New Year!

A few of us think we need to meet up and review the Homecare Campaign.
We've been campaigning for 3 years  and we continue to feel that the
privatisation of homecare services for our elderly and disabled citizens is
causing misery and neglect.


Continually we hear of staff not turning up; being very late; not having
enough time (of course that's a problem for the in -house service because
they've brought in some of the awful practices of the private sector)


The public and other Trade Unionists are on our side.


But we haven't succeeded in building a large campaign and our last 2 public
meetings didn't bring in local people.


We need to discuss our future. I think probably we should continue but
perhaps not as present.



We're meeting  this Wed  26th Jan  '11 at 6 pm at the City Chambers.   We
thought we'd meet and talk for an hour or so and then go on to have a drink
or a coffee.


Please come if you can. We'd love to see new faces  and familiar ones.
