<div>Hope I've managed to attach this. Spoke to a couple of homecarers today I can't print their comments You can imagine!</div>
<div>Panorama programme on Mon. was very good. I noted the same rubbish being spouted from Councils i.e they want to encourage independence; don't want to force contact on people etc.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Meanwhile as the son of an elderly woman who was found dead in her home, having lain dead for 2 days said, this would not have happened if the warden had been kept because he made sure he saw the tenants every day. Her life may not have been saved - we'll never know - but she wouldn't have lain there.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>In another case, 3 sisters who lived in a sheltered housing complex and met up daily when they lost the warden 1 of them had to go into residential care. Her daughter didn't feel she was safe enough since the warden had been taken away.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>The result - amongst other things - was that the sisters hadn't met up and their regular contact and companionship had stopped. Shameful </div>
