<div> </div>
<div>We'll be having weekly stalls in Portobello High Street - opposite the Town Hall - every Sat from 11am - 2pm</div>
<div> </div>
<div>We talk to people; ask them if they'd like to sign the petition; tell them about the meeting; what the campaign's aboutetc. We listen to their views; discuss etc.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Often the people we speak to have experience of the cuts and privatisation. The response is overwhelmingly positive.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Despite the recession and the fear of £294 million in budget cuts, public services are still something held very dear to the majority of people.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>As well as weekly stalls, we need to make contact with activists; community organisations; organisations for elderly and disabled ;</div>
<div> </div>
<div>We need to put leaflets and posters into cafes, shops, libraries; into homes; churches - wherever we can so any time/ energy you have to help out will be very useful</div>
