<div>We&#39;ve had stalls the past 2 Sat&#39;s and met many people- carers;  1 elderly woman in her 90&#39;s who&#39;s cared for her son for 30 years and was always &quot;too old&quot; to receive the carer&#39;s allowance!</div>

<div>Carers employed by the Council and agencies spoke of how hard the work is and how exhausted and upset they feel about the situation.</div>

<div>Today in the Scotsman there&#39;s talk of cutting the free personal care because of the budget crisis    - another blow for elderly and disabled citizens.</div>

<div>What&#39;s happening in Home care is being mirrored in many other services  - learning difficulties; mental health etc.  </div>
<div>Recently a no. of organisations lost the tender for work. This means service- users support being disrupted  - to put it mildly - maybe stopped or cut.</div>
