<div>Care Homes "put patients at risk" with feeding tube stance This is the title of an article in Eve. News Wed. 6th Jan. '10</div>
<div> </div>
<div>It is truly the stuff of nightmares.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>It describes an accusation that care homes are closing their doors to elderly residents who are NOT being fed by a feeding tube inserted into their stomachs.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>In other words the care homes want to admit people only people who are fed by a tube inserted into their stomach.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>According to the article, the authors of a Royal College of Physicians report say that "although they claim to be acting in patient's interests, the motive may be to cut costs and save on staffing"</div>
<div> </div>
<div>The article didn't mention any care homes but the idea is frightening and there must be some evidence for it.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Google the article if you can. It's by John Von Radowitz</div>
<div> </div>
<div>If anyone can post it on this e-mail, that would be great.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Could anyone teach me how to get the article on the e-mail so that you can just click on a website? </div>
<div> </div>
<div>I need to be able to do this!</div>
