March 2011 - National Month of Actions to Defend Public Education

National Conference Call on January 9th to determine character, Pass action proposal
Minutes and audio from December 12th National Call
Read below for more details.
On December 12th, 2010, public education activists from throughout the US discussed and began organizing plans for actions next semester, spring 2011. We formulated a base proposal and decided to use that as a basis for discussion and development of a more complete proposal on the next national conference call scheduled for January 9th. 
Proposals or amendments to the base proposal (see below) should be sent to the discussion group list defend-education at googlegroups.com or to proposals at defendeducation.org. Proposals can be brought up Jan 9th, but it would be beneficial for them to be sent in early to make time for discussion and consolidation of similar proposals to save time.

March 2011 - Month of actions to Defend Public Education

March 2nd 2011 as the official kick off date 

Call for a Student Strike at or near the end of march (date to be determined Jan 9th) 

Educational events/actions at the beginging of the semester (Jan/Feb)

Final Proposal to be adopted on the January 9th 2011 conference call.
