Hi All,

 

Tomorrow will be a great oppurtunity to flyer and reach out to active k-12 teachers, parents, and students. San Diego Educators Association (union) is calling for a rally. See info below.

 

Date: Tuesday, Feb. 9

Time: 4 p.m.

Location: SDUSD Education Center – 4100 Normal Street  

 

I hope a few of us can make it and spread the word about 3/4! I am planning on being there. Contact me if you think you might be able to help/go.

Bargaining Update

 

On Thursday, Feb. 4 SDEA presented the SDUSD bargaining team with a 

counter to the District’s unacceptable Jan. 19 proposal of an eight 

percent pay cut. Our counter proposal represents the input gathered 

from the SDEA members who participated the city-wide bargaining input 

meetings over the past week. The SDEA proposal presented to the District 

includes three student-contact furlough days, and is to be repaid through 

strong contractual guarantees. This proposal is fair and represents real 

sacrifice on the part of San Diego's educators.

Rally for a Fair Contract

 

Now it’s SDUSD’s turn to step to the plate! SDEA is holding a rally to 

demand that the School Board accept our fair and reasonable offer so 

that we can all get back to the critical work of teaching and learning. 

Wear your red SDEA t-shirt and bring your family, friends and kids!
