As part of the Planning Committee for the 2011 San Diego Cultivating Food
Justice Event, I would like to both extend an invitation to you to volunteer
at this great event in City Heights this weekend on April 9th and 10th.

The 2011 Cultivating Food Justice Event will be held on April 9th (9 am to 4
pm) & 10th (9am to 3pm) in the community of City Heights. This event is free
and open to the public. The event will feature keynote speakers (Bilali Muya
and N. Diane Moss), hands-on workshops, panels and discussion groups all
focused on how to create a more sustainable and equitable food system.

*We need volunteers to help at the registration table, the merchandise
table, the child activities area, the food preparation, gleaning, set up and
set down, guides from common areas to workshop locations, to be video
recording workshops,etc. The shifts are generally 3-4 hours long, but if you
can it would be great if you can volunteer for a whole day.
