      This is a really cool piece I saw online (don't know where its originally from) which talks about student loan debt in this country and the ways in which student debt is structured--that is, the way in which student debt is totally inescapable.  The thing sums up like this "So we have a debt larger than all our credit cards, more toxic than subprime mortgages and a nightmare to recover from.  It's a grim outlook for the next generation of students."  It ends with some typical "tips" for avoiding student loans, except the last one says "fight".  It's awesome and people should check it out.
