COURSE DESCRIPTION/DESCRIPCION DEL CURSO: California budget woes continue. Governor Brown just signed the state budget last week which includes more cuts to education and social services. The signed budget is counting on a windfall of tax revenue to be added later this year but if the tax revenue is not adequate than even more drastic cuts will be implemented. What does this mean for california's poor and working class communities? Is there really no money out there? How will the people respond? Come and discuss these issues and help build for a fight back against the austerity laid out in the budget proposal.
