In 2011, they launched an all-out assault on our collective bargaining rights. This year, right-wing politicians have their eyes on a new prize – unleashing "right to work" from coast to coast.Indiana just became the 23rd state to adopt this deceptive policy, generating massive public opposition and protests. Now anti-worker forces are pushing right-to-work bills in Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, Ohio, and states around the country. We urgently need to stop right to work's momentum by showing lawmakers this isn't a fight they want.Make your voice heard: right to work is wrong for everyone!Right to work isn't about rights or work. In fact, studies show that right-to-work laws drive down job standards for all workers. And if you live or work in a right-to-work state, you know better than anyone that this destructive policy makes it much harder to improve wages, benefits, and working conditions. That's why right to work is the number-one priority for corporate-backed legislators and special-interest groups like ALEC – whose members are pushing copycat right-to-work bills in state legislatures nationwide. But we know better. Right to work is the wrong priority for our economy and our country.Take a stand against the right wing's right-to-work scam. Sign our petition now!We need to build a movement of people who are willing to take a stand against right to work so that we'll be ready to mobilize at a moment's notice. This week we're launching a new public education campaign to take on the lies about right to work. Will you stand up and fight with us?>>YES, I'm in. Right to work is wrong.Even if you live in a right-to-work state, we need your support to show anti-worker legislators that we're not going to let another state fall.Join us – and show politicians that standing for right to work and against the 99% is a huge mistake. Thanks for everything you do for workers.Hilary, Kim, Liz, Zoe, Michael, Susan, and the American Rights at Work team

The San Pablo City Council this week called for a fair outcome to a long and bitter dispute over wages and working conditions at Casino San Pablo.Unite Here Local 2850, which represents more than 150 food service, housekeeping and other casino workers, says several were fired in recent months for reasons ranging from being pregnant or being absent because of emergency surgery to angering the management by demanding better working conditions.
