The Education Not for Sale network is going to be holding a conference in
association with University of East London Students' Union.

Saturday September 3, 12pm-7pm
University of East London Docklands Site

We aim to bring together student union officers with activists on campus
to help us work together on campaigns such as those for free education,
human rights and global justice. It is a day for student union officers
who want to become more successful activists, and for activists who want
to harness student union resources towards effective campaigning.

Speakers and organisations invited include Peter Tatchell, War on Want,
People & Planet, No Sweat, Campaign against the Arms Trade, World
Development Movement, Columbia Solidarity, Searchlight. The conference
will include sessions on
·	after the G8, where next?
·	why bother with Student Unions?
·	building successful campaigns
·	the fight against sweatshop labour
·	women's rights worldwide
·	effective media work and publicity
·	fighting fascism

A full programme will be available nearer the time at
http://www.free-education.org.

If you would like to come to the conference, please get in touch with us:
email daniel.randall at nus.org.uk or phone 07961 040 618. If you are
involved with an activist group or student union, please think about
bringing along a delegation, but feel free to come along on your own if
you want to get involved!

We look forward to seeing you on September 3.
