UPDATE!! : Megan, Nathan, and Ramey got together on
Tuesday night and
worked through the AK Press book order. If we didn’t get a book you
wanted, don’t fret – we weren’t ignoring you! We took into consideration
several factors including the following:
1. We prioritized sections that were lacking (Indigenous,
Psychology, Sex, Queer, etc)
2. We made sure that AK Press was the best place to buy them (ie,
they weren’t way cheaper on Amazon, or they were difficult to find
elsewhere).
3. We had a lot of requests for Gardening/Vegan books, but we got
a last-minute donation on Monday evening of books in these sections.
4. We also had a lot of requests for books that had similar
subject matter to books we already have – not to say these books
should be excluded, but we thought it best to get books in this order
that were unique.
5. IF you requested books that we didn’t order, don’t fret – we
didn’t get rid of the lists! We will compile them all in to one BIG
WISHLIST to be discussed at the next meeting, when we talk about what
to do with the rest of the benefit money!
