[Flyingbrickvolunteers] May Day Endorsement

While I fully support endorsing the May Day Parade I believe that things of
this nature need to be decided upon by the group. Avoiding decision making
processes, even for projects that we may support, is a slippery slope to
possible decisions being made that the group does not support. I understand
that there may have been a time crunch, but we should collectively be making
decisions *unless we have collectively empowered someone to do so*. Many of
us may be familiar with May Day but there are also many folks who may not be
as familiar with the day and its significance. It is the responsibility of
those of us who do know to ensure that we're not alienating others in our
group.
This isn't an email out of anger or spite (I know emails can be hard to read
sometimes) but rather out of concern for the processes that we've already
decided upon.
I'd personally move to remain an endorser of the May Day Parade with a
possible review by the group of the description placed on the page unless
there is a blocking concern. I hope that everyone will take it upon
themselves to work towards collective decision making and I think that this
discussion should be a part of the longer conversation of our organization.
