Hey y'all, just wanted to give you a heads up that the field trip headcount
so far is 18 people! That is craziness! Anyway, if anyone has a vehicle they
can offer up, that would be great. Allison L has offered her station wagon,
but it would be cool if that was only a last resort. So let me know if you
can drive or are cool with letting someone else drive your vehicle!
Also, I got this in the Brick's e-mail today, I don't think I can take on
organizing for this show, but if someone could step up that would be
awesome!!:
Dearest Flying Brick,
My name is Catherine and I play in midtown dickens, one of the bands in the
queer south documentary y'all just screened at the space...whew! in any
case, I'm putting together a scavenger -folk "woah-man-band" solo gig for a
treck across country so that i can learn and play and unfold in radical
safer spaces... and I'm reaching out to you to inquire if i might be able to
play at the flying brick (such a great name by the way)....
I'd happily trade a show / space / home here in Durham any day (i've helped
run several radical spaces / bike coop / venues over the years and have an
ever-swinging front door), and would come brimming with good cheer and
gratitude.......
here's the jog + tour dates (I'd be in Richmond on the 29th of Sept).
Thanks so much for all you do.
yours,
catherine

Harvey-Sue Gets Down
Dear Fellows and Fellas,
This fall I am embarking on a Woah-Man-Band / solo (and-a-half) adventure
with my new dog-pal, Harvey-Sue. We'll have a boom-box for beats (sequenced
from found-sounds); a stomp kit for kicks, a resonator guitar, and a
synthesizer (if I find one between now and then). We're talkin' dark folk,
alter-egos, and new ideas daily. And a dog.
We have absolutely no press.... or creds at all for that matter, as this
project is brand spankin' new.
But! We've got lot's of friends and plenty of room for more.
Here's the Website <http://www.livinontheedgerton.com> (mission statement +
lots of art / projects)
Here's the Reverb Nation <http://www.reverbnation.com/harveysue> Page (lots
of tunes).
We'd really love to play for you, and listen to you play.
Thank you.
xo,
Catherine
