Hey y'all, we were supposed to have a meeting today, but its the Fourth so
it didn't happen. Our next meeting will be Thursday, the 21st, at 6:30pm. I
wanted to give a heads up on some proposals I want to make, and let people
know that I am looking at bylaws stuff again. I have been feeling for a
while that a little restructuring is in order, and if people agree, I'd like
to discuss some of that at the next meeting. So it would be really great if
we have a good turn out on the 21st, and if you can't make it, please chime
in on the listserv or call me and I can write down what you have to say to
the group. If you need clarification on these, just contact me. 804 577
7656. Hope to see y'all soon!

also, Greg Wells has a van that fits about 7 people and he will be driving
to Wayside for the celebration this weekend. We will have a caravan leaving
on the evening of the 8th from the Flying Brick and coming back on Sunday
the 10th. Let me know if you want to go!

- I propose reverting the meeting schedule to the phone bank method. This
would give more personal touch, and we could go through the contact list to
ask people if they are still interested in volunteering and organizing, and
what we can be done to accommodate schedules and lives. I would suggest that
2-3 people take on this task.

- I also propose the use of business cards as library cards in conjunction
with accountability forms. This could be a fun way to get people to sign the
accountability forms, to keep track of who has been by the library before
and who hasn't, and it is a neat way to mimic (in our own way) public
libraries. This would also automatically give people all of our contact
information and our hours to have on them.

If y'all want to discuss these, can we try and keep that for the meeting? I
don't want to flood people's inboxes. If you can't make it and really have
something say, then by all means though.
