Then it will be last shift volunteer's responsibility to call people for the next day to remind them they have a shift. Volunteer Coordinator will change to help prevent informal leadership.
- working group organization
- concerns that communication is confusing and that there aren't many people consistently coming to work group meetings.
Christie proposed that we have a list of folks who want to be core members of the work groups, so we know who to contact. Anyone will be welcome at meetings of course, and people can leave groups anytime. (passed)
- we ARE on the radar. police know the house from past convergences and it is marked already for just being associated with anarchists and radicals.
- illegal activities should not be discussed openly. This includes:
- illegal direct actions
- illegal drug use/distribution
- ANY illegal or questionable activity
- Nathan suggested the person bottomlining an event should help watch door for police/media. We don't want to create an atmosphere of paranoia. We just should be aware of what's happening outside the front door, not only to watch for media and police, but for people behaving in ways that could attract unwanted attention. If police or media DO come to the door, a resident should be found and they should go outside to talk to them, and LOCK THE DOOR. Also, back door should be locked during events unless people are in the kitchen.
