<div>I think the point of the google calendar is to give easier access to people with internet access to sign up for time and view what times need covered. I can't speak for everyone else, but from what I understand the paper signup will not be removed from the equation. I think this would require someone to regularly update the paper copy with whoever has signed up for a time on the google calendar...or the google calendar can be printed off and put up beside the signup sheet? But this may waste a bunch of paper since people sign up on a rolling basis.</div>

<div><br>I second what you said about making a list of people who may want their donated books back if it is decided that the book(s) they donate are taken off the shelves. I personally really like this idea because I have several books that I'd like to donate for expanding the psychology section but I would be really sad if I didn't get them back!</div>

<br></div></div><br>those new books sound awesome! good job yall!<br><br>on the topic of getting rid of books:<br><br>several people, including myself, have donated books to the library, maybe even years ago, but might want their books back if it's decided that they don't belong in the library anymore. So before we sell or give away books, I think they should be boxed up or put in a special place and then people should be contacted to come and look through them to make sure none of them are theirs. I know this sounds kind of daunting and silly, but i'd hate for someone to lose a book they donated to the library in the past, thinking that eventually they'd be able to remove it from the collection.<br>
<br>For this reason, it also might be a good idea to keep track of people who donate books but say they would want them back if we ever got rid of them to make space. maybe it could be a list kept somewhere, it wouldn't have to be public.<br>
<br>like asking: "So are there any books you are donating that you would like to be notified of if we decide we need to take it out to make room? like would you want us to give it back to you, or could we sell it/donate it somewhere else?"<br>
<br>on the topic of the google groups volunteer sign up:<br><br>I am a bit confused. Do people not like the paper sign up? or did I miss something, as I've been gone for like 6 months so i apologize if this has been covered. I feel like having two lists could be really confusing, and doing away with the paper list would make signing up to volunteer inaccessible for people who don't want to use google or whatever.<br>
