<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br>

<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"> <i><b>Proposal : </b></i>Bottomliner

<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br>
</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><b>Report backs: </b>
</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"> LIPS Event there were some
complaints/concerns about Shortbus. Concerns were raised about the
thoroughness of the screening, and that it did not create a safe
space. LIPS has decided to make a point of having more thorough
screenings/trigger warnings for all future film showings.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"> *Nathan raised a point about the
Brick being more vigilant about requiring films to be screened
SPECIFICALLY for trigger warnings PRIOR to the event, and having
people ask questions about certain films if they are not sure. Making
sure people understand the concept of creating a safe space.
</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br>
</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i><b>Proposal:</b></i> When events
happen that have possible triggers, two people should be designated
to offer support to anybody who is triggered, giving that person the
option to choose who they are most comfortable with. These designated
people should be identified to attendees of the event when trigger
warnings are given. Passed with full consensus.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br>
</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><i><b>Proposal:</b></i> At any event
with possible triggers, the contact information for Mind(ful)
Liberation Project should be given out WITH the trigger warnings, in
case the triggered person does not feel comfortable speaking to the
designated person(s). Passed with full consensus.</p>

</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;">Nathan, Megan & Salem are
tentatively committed to members of the Flying Brick Library Team. A
team of 4 or 5 people is ideal (there is a tentative goal of $100 per

<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><b>MLP Speak Out Event Saturday
February 19th at 7PM</b></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"> Megan wanted to update us on the fact
that MLP is being very stringent on requiring trigger warnings for
each person who is performing/presenting/etc. Trigger warnings will
be given on the Facebook page & on the RVA Radicalendar page. The
trigger warnings will also be given out at the beginning of the
event, with more specific ones being given before each performance.

<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><b>Gun Locks</b></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"> <span style="font-weight: normal;">Nathan
recently came into possession of some gun locks and wanted to put
them out for people to take for free. Some concerns were raised about
the association of the Flying Brick with firearms, and that a group
of 5 was too small to make the decision. To be brought back up at a
later time, when there are more people to discuss. </span>
</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><b>Library Promotion</b></p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in; font-weight: normal;"> Nathan wanted
to encourage people to promote the library as a space. If you are

<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><b>Possible Show April 18th </b>
</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"> <span style="font-weight: normal;">Someone
contacted Nathan re: having an instrumental experimental show. The
Brick probably doesn't have a lot of draw for that kind of crowd, but
Megan said that her house (the Black Hand) might be interested, and
got the contact information for the musical group. Megan will ask her
housemates. At this point, we are trying to help the group find a
place to have the show, though not necessarily at the Brick. There
will be more updates if needed.</span></p>
