Hello friends! At the volunteer meeting yesterday, I volunteered to bottomline the Black History Month event for this year. Last years's event consisted of a multi-media/discussion based event: folks read excerpts from Audre Lorde's Sister Outsider, youtube clips were shown (bell hooks, nikki giovanni, amina wadud, <a href="http://et.al">et.al</a>), and we all had a discussion about what black history month meant to us, as well as what race means to each of us in our daily lives. <div>
