I have access to the administrative interface, so I can try to look and see if I can make it anymore private if that is what folks want. I definitely would push for continued sharing of the notes, afterall, there is no "approval" process to be included on the listserv, so even if we were able to make it unsearchable, anyone could still subscribe to the listserv and monitor ANY activity on it. I realize that it is sketchy, but we are almost all on facebook as well, and even if we use a fake name, it is still linked to an email that is linked to an IP address, so it is still not even close to being secure or private. I think it is wise to keep things as private as possible, but I definitely don't have the skillset to make it even close to secure......and I agree, we DO NOT do anything illegal or even really dependent on privacy, so it will hopefully not be an issue.<br>

<br>The internet is scketchy and any information you have on email or even your computer is accessible to others if they want it. If you don't want random people to be able to see your conversations or meeting notes the only way to make sure that happens is to not have it online. <br>
Group email lists and listservs are really useful for lots of reasons. But it is hard, if not impossible, to keep them private while still functional.<br>One of the reasons the WIngnut does not regularly email notes from meetings<br>

If that's the case, then I assume it's a matter of privacy settings - whether or not it's a public forum/listserv. Results might still show up b/c of the way websites are cached but I can't be sure. FB works the same way - when I'm trying to locate patients at work for follow-ups, sometimes I just google them. Half the time you can find comments listed on FB events or whatever from over a year ago. It's kinda weird.<br>
