<br><b>Food Not Bombs Fundraiser</b><br><br>Ellen, Nathan, and Christie will bottomline a documentary screening that focuses on Food Not Bombs. <br>If no documentary exists, we will work on a multimedia presentation that would tell the history of Food Not Bombs internationally,<br>
and locally here in Richmond. This would double as a fundraiser and to garner new interest in Food Not Bombs in the city.<br><br><b>Flying Brick Stickers</b> (update, Nathan)<br><br>Stickers come from Jakprint, $120 for 1,000 vinyl stickers. This amount was approved at a meeting a few months back.<br>
Most folks did not like the idea to just use the old flier and cut it in half, so <b>Megan and Ellen volunteered to design a few images</b><br>to be approved by the group next meeting, Thursday the 22nd at 6:30.<br><br>Robert has been trying to contact Tim Lamb about printing t-shirts, since Nathan has almost found a decent priced shirt package.<br>
Tim lives in DC, so it has been hard, and since we have a template for the screen already, so Robert says we could do it ourselves. <br><br><b>Outreach </b>(Nathan)<br><br>Now that VCU is back in session, Nathan wants to start a push for outreach. Some people suggested tabling at events for often, and<br>
Zinefest will be one that we do every year, as well as upcoming student events to be looked out for. <b>If anyone hears of appropriate tabling events,<br>please contact us!<br><br>Budget and New Books Programs<br><br></b>The current Library balance is $506. Ellen tallied up the expenses on a sheet that will be kept in the meeting notes folder, behind the PC.<br>
Nathan keeps the money. Megan was reimbursed $16 for the book they bought at Red Emma's in Baltimore.<br><br>Ramey and Ellen bottomlined and completed the task of subscribing to our first "friends of" program to PM Press. This will be $40 a month,<br>
to be revisited every 3 months. Others to be subscribed to later will be AK Press, Microcosm, and others. With PM we receive ANYTHING they<br>release in those months. Jeremy highly recommended this program, as the Wingnut uses it for their lending library and they feel that they get<br>
their money's worth. <br><br>The group also voted that we would allot $20 a month for unforeseen expenses, like fliers, stamps, special book offers, etc.<br><br><b>Book Drive </b>(Robert)<br><br>Robert suggested we do a book drive to raise money. <b>The group approved the drive will start immediately, and we are asking for books to be donated during open hours,<br>
and the day before the Book Sale on October 1st. It will go from 8am until 2pm</b>. All leftover books will go to the Really Really Free Market.<br><br><b>Film Series </b>(Christie)<br><b><br></b>Christie thinks it is time for another film screening to highlight books we have here in the library. The group decided <b>One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest will screen on<br>
Friday, Sept. 30th at 7pm. This will also be a potluck! <br><br>Field Trip to DC</b> (Greg, Nathan)<br><br>The Field Trip to DC has to be rescheduled because of the hurricane. Greg and Nathan are working on a date in October.<br>
<br><b>Marx Free Class</b> (Nathan)<br><br>Kenny and Eleanor of the IWW want to use the Flying Brick to hold a free class on Marx's "Das Kapital", using David Harvey's free, online, 13 class series.<br>The group approved, and the class will be meeting <b>Tuesday Nights at 5:30, starting on the 19th.</b> Anyone is welcome to attend, but they would really like<br>
for people to attend as much of the entire series as possible, so that they can build on ideas and discussions from each previous session.<br><br><b>Event Reportback: WORK</b> (Nathan, Robert, Ellen, Antony)<br><br>Everyone seemed to enjoy the event, and the ongoing discussions that it inspired afterwards. The CWC folks were very friendly, and the library bought their new book<br>
for $7. It was checked out the same night and will be available again soon. They gave us a "Support Eric McDavid and Marie Mason: Anarchist Political Prisoners" <br>poster that still needs to be put up in the library. The CWC folks really seemed to enjoy Richmond, and were glad to see so much interest in anarchism here.<br>
There were many new faces at the event as well, which is very exciting!<br><br><b>Meeting and Listserv Security</b> (Nathan, Megan)<br><br>Our meeting notes can be googled! Megan discovered this by accident, and it looks as if anyone can view the notes that finds them. Nathan looked into changing settings<br>
but so far has not found a way to change the privacy. As we are not a group that does illegal activities, the group did not seem to feel this should be a major cause<br>for concern, HOWEVER, it was decided that we should warn people and take precautions anyway. <b>If you do not want to be easily associated with this space, use a<br>
fake name on the listserv and you can request a fake initial to be used in meeting notes. However, we should also remind you that anyone can subscribe to<br>this listerv, and therefore see anything you say, linked to your email. This is not hard to trace back to an IP address, so you should still assume that people<br>
you don't know can see what you are saying.</b><br><br><b><br>The folks from Seattle that spoke on the 7th also sent a friend of theirs who is on a booktour our way. Ellen volunteered to take this event on, and the event will be<br>
