From The Defenders for Freedom, Justice, and Equality:

Sisters and Brothers,
While we are battling it out with the mayor and local developers to protect
Richmond's Black History, we don't want to ignore international issues and
what looks like the build-up to another war crisis. And we can't rely on
the misinformation we get from the local media or the government. We need
to check out independent sources for news and analysis.
Attached is a media release and fact sheet on the crisis in Ukraine put out
by the International Action Center. At the end of the release are
statements and analysis by several other groups and organizations,
including the United National Antiwar Coalition, of which the Defenders are
a founding member, and Ajamu Baraka, a good friend and member of the Black
Left Unity Network, who has attended several annual meetings of the
Virginia People's Assembly.
There's also the intensification of the counter-revolutionary movement in
Venezuela, where the hand of the U.S. government is evident. For the Cuban
view of this crisis, see:

And please let us know of any actions taking place around Virginia to
oppose the U.S. role in these crises and the threat of a new war.
In solidarity
