Hey there Denver learners and knowledge sharers,
The February-March calendar is almost here...and we need your
class submissions by January 25th!

We have had some requests for classes to be taught on the following
subjects:
                -Artistic expression (of any kind)
-Food swap/exchange groups (in the works, so email us ifyou
want to be involved in organizing this)
-Recycled art-chitecture and design (engineering our trash
for sound, useful and practical purposes)

so keep those in mind, if you know anyone who has a skill/passion for
these, send em to freeschool!

Also we have the exciting opertunity to colaborate with the alternative
homeschool communities in Denver! So be thinking about how you may or may
not wish to include people of younger generations in you class. We are
asking that kids/parents contact teachers prior to going to a class to
make sure it is appropriate for kids. The home school community describes
themselves and their involvment with Free School as follows:

"The homeschool community is an eclectic group of families who have
adopted lifelong learning as part of their lifestyle. Contrary to
popular stereotypes, this community includes liberal, well-informed, hip
and interesting folks who have a lot to offer.

Most families take advantage of learning experiences as a whole family.
Children are encouraged to use the world as their classroom and are
engaged in experiences. They would be a group of folks who could
appreciate some of the classes being offered and could add much in the
form of skills and knowledge they are willing to share with others.

Some classes might not be appropriate for young children. The
homeschoolers ask that teachers make note of the content of classes with
violent, sexual, language, or alchohol/drug content to indicate how
child-friendly a class might be."

The class submission form is attached to this e-mail. IF you have trouble
opening it just send us your class name, short discription, days times,
place, and whether you prefer/require rsvp or not.

and don't miss out on the calendar release party!...
