[Freeschooldenver] Urban Nature Walk this Friday!

Hello fans of free classes!
I hope everyone is enjoying this lovely autumn weather we've been having. 
If anyone would like to spend even more time outside in it, I am finally
going to make good on the promise I made long ago to lead some free urban
nature walks. Well, at least one to start out with, anyway.

It will be this coming Friday (that's in 2 days!), and will meet at
Confluence Park at about 1:00.  We'll walk along at least a mile or two of
the Cherry Creek bike path (not very urban, I know, but the vegetation is
a bit denser there than it is most other places in the city so it is
better suited for a walk).  I'm thinking this should take no more than a
couple hours, but of course you could leave at any point if you've got
somewhere you gotta be.

I'm planning on starting out with a little tutorial on how to use a nature
guide, since I think that's a really important skill to have (this means
that we'll still be in the park for a good 15 minutes or so, so don't be
afraid to join us if you're running late!)  I am not an expert on plants,
but I will share what I know about some of the plants we will see as we
walk along the bike path, and others can share what they know too.  If we
find a plant or something that nobody knows what it is, then we can
practice our newly-acquired nature-guide-using skills! There will also be
a fair amount of enjoying the beautiful fall colors and changing plant
life, maybe some haiku-composing, who knows?

By the way, it is supposed to be around 70 this Friday, so hopefully we
should be fine weather-wise.  If it nonetheless is either snowing,
lightening, or less than about 27 degrees, I will cancel the thing and
reschedule it, just check your e-mail if you're not sure.  I'll try to
remember to send out a confirmation e-mail the day of.  If it's not
particularly warm, I MIGHT bring some hot cider or herbal tea or something
to share, no promises, but bring something to drink out of if you'd like,
just in case.
