  NO ONE IS ILLEGAL
   
  A Public Meeting with
   
  * Steve Cohen, author of a new book “Deportation Means Freedom- the Orwellian World of Immigration Controls”, former barrister and current activist.
   
  * Harriet Grimsditch, from the Sukula Family Must Stay Campaign in Bolton, fighting the infamous Section 9 law.
   
  * Representative from Sheffield’s Iraqi Kurdish community who are facing the threats of detention and forced deportation.
   
  There’s nothing “natural” about immigration controls. Before the Aliens Act of 1905 – designed to exclude persecuted Jews - there were none in the UK.  In the 100 years since, they have been used to control the movement of labour while global business is free to cross borders to maximise its profits. 
  Today’s UK immigration controls are brutally enforced: Iraqi Kurds are forcibly deported by night to northern Iraq; families face the threat of having their children taken from them unless they return to 
  civil war in the Congo. Come and hear the case against all immigration controls and how we can fight them.

  *Steve Cohen, author of a new book "Deportation Means Freedom - the Orwellian World of Immigration controls"
  *Harriet Grimsditch, from the Sukula Family Must Stay Campaign in Bolton speaking about Section 9, the piloted act which seeks to put asylum seekers' children into care
  *Ari Moustafa, from Sheffield's Iraqi Kurdish community, currently threatened with eviction, detention and forced deportation. Ari will tell us how the Kurdish community is fighting back.
