I work on tools to collect and process large amounts of stuff like
sensor data for a living (we usually delegate the visualisation to BI
tools such as Tableau, however! Our product is an SQL OLAP engine called
RainStor), so although it would be a bit of a busman's holiday, I'd be
quite interested in coming along to have a closer look at what the
people on the *other* side of the SQL parser look like :-D I've a
passing familiarity with Hadoop, but again, much more from the "how it
works internally" angle than actually using the thing...
