I agree :).  The fact that the guys get really interested in all the
creative stuff they're doing and leave the maintenance work to the
wimmins just perpetuates the screwed-up gender dynamics.

It is too late to suggest messing with the schedule for Barncamp 2010,
because I'm sure Mike and others organizing things are stressed out in
the final week, but here's a thought for subsequent Hacktionlab events. 
I would like to make the serious suggestion that as payback for the last
20 millenia of sexism, and as a way of addressing the persistent skills
shortages and creating a woman-friendly environment, women be forbidden
from doing *any* maintenance work at future Hacktionlab/Barncamp events,
because they need extra time to geek out. 

That is, cooking, cleanup, etc should all be done by men, and women can
indulge in geekery safe in the knowledge that they have no obligations
to do anything other than be as awesome as they can be.  Let's talk
about it at BarnCamp or in the run-up to the fall event,
