Thanks again to everyone who made BarnCamp such a great success this year.

You probably don't need me to tell you that good reporting and
documentation can massively amplify the impact of any political act,
creative act or other intervention.

In the case of BarnCamp, we have the potential of reaching a large
on-line audience after the event through the various methods we
demonstrated and discussed. To make this work I'll draw your attention
to a couple of pages that anyone can edit on the wiki:

http://hacktivista.net/hacktionlab/index.php/2010_Workshop_Notes_BarnCamp

This is where people have already started to write up notes from the
workshop sessions. If you have any notes taken in the sessions, please
can you put them there. If you facilitated a workshop, perhaps you could
link to some relevant resources for further study & action.

Lots of us were taking photos, shooting video and recording audio at the
event. No doubt these will be going out through various channels. Please
can you link to your output and put a brief description of it on this
page, so we can all find it.

Finally a personal note from me, especially from everyone who wasn't
heavily involved in the planning process. When we decided in April that
there would be parallel sessions this year, we agreed that tight
time-keeping and respecting the boundaries of the workshops would be
essential. We knew this would change the character of the event a bit,
but as there were only 7.5 hours of workshops during the whole weekend,
we thought there would still be plenty of time and space for people to
have less structured interactions. Infact by keeping the workshops
punctual, there should have been more unstructured and social time
available.

Being the person who gets the job of making this happen doesn't
necessarily make you popular. People who didn't know that there was a
mandate from the group to do it this way might have thought I was just
being anal. I'm sorry if that's how it looked but from the feedback so
far, I guess it was worth it :-)
