[HacktionLab] federated social web - diaspora and friendika testing

Been playing around with both friendica and diaspora myself

joindiaspora.com/u/benced

and

https://friendika.openmindspace.org/profile/benx

While there isn't a way to feed an rss feed into your diaspora profile, I
know on friendica you can subscribe to webpages as if they are just another
user profile and it will take status updates from the RSS feed in the head
tag of the HTML,

Contacts -> Add New Contact

Enter the address for the blog you wish to follow.

Hit Connect

Friendika seems to connect to Diaspora okay, using username at pod.org in the
same box on the Contacts page

Havn't had any luck linking with Status.net other than pulling it's RSS
feed.

Apparently you can post to status.net from friendica though according to
friendica.com/features

Ta,
Ben
