Hi all,
I'm doing some research for an art project to explore/promote grassroots
hosting, and I wonder if you could help. I'm looking for anyone who
either knows a bit about, or is involved in, doing hosting (websites,
email, Diaspora pods, etc), to answer a few questions. My questions are
along the lines of:
* How do you decide what types of content you will or will not host?
* Do you have Terms of Service which forbid certain types of content
(like diasp.org)?
* How do you negotiate resistance to censorship vs. your technical/
legal limitations as someone offering hosting?
A couple of quick emails would be really helpful. I'm also looking for
people who'd be up for me recording a chat over skype, to build a
collection of interviews on this topic.
For those who don't know me: I facilitate activist art projects online
at http://radicalx.ox4.org and this project is part of my MA Networked
Media research. Stalk me here: http://eleanorg.org
Please forward to anyone you think might be able to help!
Cheers,
Eleanor
