[HacktionLab] Alternatives to Skype

Hi there, 

This is a very interesting test done up here in Manchester for Free
Software Day to find Free Software alternatives to skype.

Apparently it can work but normally it only works under certain
circumstances, ie when you are all using the same server  and client! 

We could pick a client and server to test it out maybe. 

It's been suggested to me the jitsi is the most cross platform.

Would anyone be able to nominate an Xmpp server that they know and trust? And maybe
there are people who would help est it out? 
I've also send this to the Floss Manuals list too.
