[HacktionLab] recommended talk, decentralized part @ 31min 23s

Cheers for that Chris.
I saw your writing and thought of something that generally covers some
parts of what you said.
It's a talk by Aral Balkan but it's also something I would have
recommended here anyway (perhaps a win-win generally for everyone).
I also focussed on the word 'decentralized' in the talk for you
specifically as it has a slide animation @ 31min 23s (see screen-shot I
made - see attached) that might come in handy for you in London (or
future workshops, media presentation etc). And for others doing the same
thing.

All of it is ace in my view and worth watching a few times to really
connect it all together.

This talk shows things that even a fairly expert person might not be
able to explain as a string... quotes below:

"Decentralized doesn't mean it doesn't have centres, it means it has
numerous centres..."
"What we need to do is evolve the web to it's next configuration which
is a distributed configuration... all of the nodes can connect to each
other."

I totally recommend MP4 video download (a wopping 900mb) <--- this an
except whilst recommending purely because it's worth the content...
This video has a LOT of good bits (if not all seems valid/well put etc).
The mp3 download link from this page is a different presentation of a
similar theme but also worth listening to as it's said slightly differently

I'm currently streaming the mp3 @ dowhatyoulove.0id.org (click 'Audio')

I'll also make a summary page soon @ http://dowhatyoulove.0id.org/
Search for Aral Balkan there in the next few days (site is down
currently, audio is up)
