[HacktionLab] Compatibility of Wordpress plugins with wordpress network

Hi

It seems that many wordpress plugins aren't compatible with a network 
install of wordpress. The usual symptom of incompatibility is that the 
plugin installs and can be seen in the super admins plugin view, but the 
plugins don't appear as options to be activated in the user's sites (for 
example https://wordpress.org/plugins/obfuscate-email/).

The documentation for many plugins doesn't mention network compatibility.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is there a way of determining 
network compatibility short of installing the plugin and seeing what 
happens?
