[HacktionLab] Bye for now...

Well bye for now folks...
I hope you keep rocking the nice stuff and at the same time say that
after years of personal experience I realise really how far computing
can get us :) And while it does a lot fast, it's limited in many
ways... or can be maximise only by the few. Good beginner or light use
benefits but maybe not higher up in the levels/scale...
consumption/distractions/attraction/education of it etc..
Also a phrase I think I came up with...
"Control always wants more control..."
"Computing always wants ..."
(well I couldn't think of anything but I'm sure there's one out there!)

Thought the control wanting control was a good though and in computing
it seems to be inherent / consistent of something similar...

Perhaps also the human behavioural pattern of the usage of it, the
maintenance, precautions and again the human the perspective of it -
it's constantly in the past (or not live), the connection methods all
generally resulting in more computing... more and before anything
else... I'm sure there might be some case when it's not - but none come
to mind...

so I'm really happy to hear of another Hacktionlab gig and in no way
should things be seen as a downer... perhaps it's all re-creation of
sorts... delete everything, start again.

Often the text on screen has made me glow inside, but after a while I
realised I need to find something more. People more together makes me
feel warm inside..
(oh no wait that's the laptop under my palms and the gamma brightness to
my eyes... must remember to turn it down and put a short-cut to do that
on startup!)...

I'd like to write more but I think I already did... and always did...
Hope that was a nice read for you all, wall, tall, hall, call, paul,
hall, ball, yall
User disconnected...

I would like to do a workshop on neuroscience & computing- the EU is currently investing significant amounts of it's computer science research budget (1BillionEuro over ten years) to develop computing technologies for and from neuroscience- so neuroinformatics (High Performance Computing for processing of biological data from brains), new algorithms to search through big data haystacks for small data needles, neuroinformatic chips (new algorithm processing chips copied from the brains of mice), future social technologies for managing people, new robotics and artificial intelligence technologies ('brain-like' machines) that do everything from financial trading for hedge funds to automate military technologies (smart missiles, drone assassinations, etc). I had someone who might be a bit more techy than me that might have been able to get us access to a neuromorphic chip but I don't think the timing fits her schedule so mostly the workshop would ju
