Thanks Valentina,

I was kind of leaving the CO2 calculation "as an exercise for the
reader" but there's a decent one here (but don't be conned into buying
their offset products):

- or I think there was a way to do it in google maps, last time I
looked, or the AA website, or cyclestreets I think.
