We used to offer a very wide choice of themes but found that a lot of 
the cool ones by like-minded groups had a limited lifespan, and when 
updates stopped many sites broke. This created a lot of work for us.

These days, if anyone asks for a recommendation, I advise starting out 
with the one of the Automattic themes; not a like-minded org but the 
themes have stood the test of time. Here's what we're offering just now:
