[HacktionLab] HacktionLab Gathering 2025 @ Sumac Centre Nottingham - October 3, 4, 5

Hi all,

Mark, Naomi and I have been speaking to the Sumac Centre in Nottingham 
about hosting a HacktionLab this Autumn.  We're still ironing out 
details, but it looks in principle like it's a goer, so seems like a 
good time to let the list know and get some input.

Proposal thus far is a potential arrival of Thursday 2nd October evening 
for two days on the Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th, with some entertainment 
those two evenings, finishing Sunday 5th, after the Sumac's social and 
vegan brunch.  We'll as usual look to keep the cost of attendance low.

Benefits of the Sumac:

* It's a venerable old social centre.

* We can bunk down on the floor there.

* It has a bar.

* We're hoping to get Veggies to provide some of the food for us.

* Nottingham is a nice central place in the country, easily accessible 
by train.  It's a cool city with some excellent pubs, nearby nature 
reserves, and vibrant scene.

* We'd be in their events calendar and would hope to reach out locally 
for attendees as well.

* There's a couple of events on at the Sumac, an open mic/jam on the 
Friday night and the aforementioned Sunday social and brunch that we can 
incorporate and collaborate with.

Anyway, that's the outline.  We'd be interested in hearing your thoughts 
and ideas about the proposal.  I certainly am excited and look forward 
to seeing you in October.
