Hi there, <br>
<br>
Does anyone fancy having a go at SIP or xmpp chat as a skype
replacement. <br>
<br>
I asked a while a go if anyone would recommend an xmpp server to
try out as apparently it works best if you are on the same server.
Bit I've just installed jitsi so I wanted to give it a go anyway
if any of you already have SIP or xmpp accounts. Give me a call
if you do!<br>

Ok I just talked to sikes on it for a while and it works fine. <br>
I think you do have to be using a sign up here -
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://www.ekiga.net/index.php?page=register">https://www.ekiga.net/index.php?page=register</a><br>
<br>
and use a sip client like jitsi - <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://jitsi.org/">https://jitsi.org/</a><br>
or the ekiga client
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://ekiga.org/download-ekiga-binaries-or-source-code">http://ekiga.org/download-ekiga-binaries-or-source-code</a><br>
<br>
Try it out I say - and see if someone in irc.indymedia.org #aktivix
can call you - go on. <br>
<br>
nice one<br>
