Dear all,

I just signed up to this list because I'm one of the organisers of
the conference 'Surveillance and Citizenship' that will take place
in Cardiff, just around the corner from Barncamp, on the days before
the camp. Apart from academic and campaigning sessions, the
conference will include a hackathon to bring together several crypto
and secure communication projects, a training session for activists
and journalists to learn about crypto tools, and lightning talks to
present tech projects. You can find the programme here:
http://www.dcssproject.net/conference-programme/

It would be great to see some of you at the event, at least for the
first day (18 June), before Barncamp starts. It could be an
interesting pre-Barncamp event for some. There are also conference
participants (especially those involved in the hackathon) who are
interested in coming to Barncamp afterwards.

I copy below a conference announcement. If anyone would like to hear
more about it, or collaborate further, just let me know.
Best,
Arne
