<p>Thanks for response @Naomi, I see what you mean there's no need
for hundreds of flyers.<br>
</p>
Shall we assemble a proper list of venues where to display posters?
<br>
<p> - and do others want posters mailing out to be displayed in
other parts of UK/wherever?<br>
</p>
<p>I didn't expect to find venues with space for posters as large as
A3, sometimes even A4 is too large,but I guess I was thinking
about crowded notice boards in shops etc. - in fact for these we
can easily run off a few A5 size at home anyway. Actually thinking
about it, we could do A4 and A3 without paying commercially, if
it's only 20 copies ...<br>
</p>
<p>The company I mentioned, <b><a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://www.mensaprinters.com/Printing_Prices.html">http://www.mensaprinters.com/Printing_Prices.html</a></b>
would charge a lot for small quantities like that:</p>
<p>A4 £14 for 25</p>
<p>A3 £15 for 25</p>
<p><b>So I would</b> <b>NOT suggest</b> we pay that: instead I
could get a small amount like this printed in return for a small
donation to expenses (say £5?), probably on Thursday, ready to
distribute on Friday if that sounds OK? <br>
</p>
<p><br>
</p>
<p>Responses/discussion welcome, thanx for reading,</p>
<p>Regards,</p>

<blockquote type="cite">Hi,
<br>
<br>
I think it would be better to print out some A4 and A3 size ones
and put them on the walls as opposed to printing A5 ones which
would be more like flyers.
<br>
<br>
Perhaps we could just get say 20 of each size printed? For ten
venues so even that would be four each, and some will only need
one.
<br>
<br>
I am happy to do some of this. Jonathan, perhaps we could meet
at a print shop one day this week, pick them up and then split
up and go to different parts of town?
<br>
<br>
James knows someone who works for Sheffield University so if we
can get a few to him he could maybe get them put up in various
places.

<blockquote type="cite">Thinking about printing for publicity,
and happy to get this done. My suggestion would be :
Single-sided colour print. A5 size (15cm x 21cm) that can be
used as small posters OR flyers (leave a pile, for people to
take one).
<br>
<br>
Quantity? In Sheffield, there are at least 10 venues that
would be good, starting with the ones Naomi mentioned (*list
below) I would be happy to go round these, and if others could
volunteer ....
<br>
<br>
Let's say 10-20 copies in each venue, so Sheffield could use
*minimum* of 100-200.
<br>
<br>
And I could post out to anyone who can volunteer to distribute
in other parts of the world .....
<br>
<br>
A printer close to me, Mensa, which I've used before, show
prices online:
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://www.mensaprinters.com/Printing_Prices.html">http://www.mensaprinters.com/Printing_Prices.html</a>
<br>
<br>
Looking at A5 single side printing prices: 500 for £38, 1000
for £54 .... is this beyond our budget?
<br>

It would be good to have some posters to put up in hack
spaces and places like that - especially around Sheffield.

Such as Union St Coworking space, Gareth's repair cafe,
Sheffield Hackspace, Access Space.
<br>
<br>
Any volunteers for designing them? Or alternatively does
anyone have any suggestions/guidance for me if I try to do
it? I have no design skills really so any help is welcome!
