Hoi,

verbeteren:

"We are inviting all (exchange) students in Utrecht, members of Newropeans
and other people interested in improving European democracy and education in
Europe to participate."

http://www.newropeans.eu/index.php?lang=nl

G,
alex

Newropeans presents:
 *Debate Friday March 5th, 2010. Start 19.30.*
*European dimensions in Education and *
*the future of the Erasmus program 2.0*
 *RASA (Wereldculturencentrum) Pauwstraat 13a, Utrecht*
Do we want an European education policy? What should and what should not be
arranged on an
European level? Are European exchange programs, like Erasmus, functioning
well? Or do they cost the
EU a lot of money and do the students only party, instead of study, abroad?
In the light of the Treaty
of Lisbon, the topic of European education is very current. We are inviting
all (exchange) students in
Utrecht, members of Newropeans and other people interested in improving
European democracy and
education in Europe to participate.
Special guest will be
 *Franck Biancheri,*
 President of Newropeans and
 *founder of *
*the Erasmus Student Exchange program.*
There will also be a panel consisting of members related to education,
education policy and/or student
exchange organizations (participants to be confirmed)
 Moderator: Veronique Swinkels
 Debate topics:
*> European education policy is not possible and not *
*necessary; it is a national responsibility.*
*> European education is only important for European elites in *
*business and politics.*
*> The present Erasmus program is functioning very well, there*
*is no need to change the formula or to propose other programs.*
The evening is free of charge but
there is a limited number of seats still available
 .
Therefore it is recommended to register in advance at:
