For some reason this post did not come through first time
Hi
Its a great idea to have social meetings but difficult to agree on a venue
Prehaps we should bite the bullet and agree on a regular meeting at Conway Hall
on a Friday in Sep, we need a really good speaket though to attract new people
We have £17.00 in hand the exact cost of the room
So JUSTIN comrade programme organiser what can you come up with?
also WHICH Friday in Sep I think its between 2nd(too early?) 9th, 16th , 23rd and 30th
so we even have an extra one

Think on it, we could still have socials - how about Sundays- and Sat meets at FP
if no body minds

Hi Ed,

I must admit that I hardly ever go into pubs, and when I do it is
usually a quiet Hertfordshire one. Perhaps I underestimate the
difficulty of finding a pub in Central London that is quiet at
8:00 pm on Friday:-)

Also, it seems odd to think of Holborn as Central London but not
Kings Cross. I think of both of them as Central, as opposed to
Finsbury Park for example. But then I think of Trafalgar Square
as more central than either - speaking of which, the Crypt at
St. Martin in the Fields is more my idea of a good meeting place,
though I expect it is not everyone's:-)

If there is a largish group of us meeting then I don't really mind
where it is, though the lower the ambient noise the better. But if
it is the sort of meeting where people might or might not show I
would like it to be somewhere that would be cool even if I ended
up there on my own.

Ian
